However the Class rotations table has not yet been filled in, as rotations at the moment are rather pointless due to the summer holidays. We have been having a lot of trouble filling the raids for the 25 man because of that.
I have to make up for this by easing the the Rotations (as I never know whom will be available for a raid at the moment) and set up a few weekly 10 man runs instead. Holding on to the 25 man Sunday run in hope that we may fill it.

I would also like to give a reminder of the Raid Add Ons and keeping them up to date. I have noticed lately that a lot of you come to raids, without having the right add-ons installed or they are out of date. So please there is all the information you need along with links on site here so there no excuse not to have the right add ons up and running before the raid starts. These add ons are necessary for raiding with UNITY, and by not being organised before the raid holds everything and everyone up.

Another Handy application is WowMatrix for keeping Add-ons up to date.

Blizzard has launched a 'Recruit-A-Friend' campaign for World of Warcraft, offering up a free exclusive mount and other goodies for those who participate.

To get at the good stuff you have to stick the details of your mate in the recruit-a-friend page over at the official WoW site and the ball will start doing its rolling thing. If your friend opts to upgrade from the ten day free trial to a retail copy and pays for 60 days of play then you get the mount. The mount in question is called the Zhevra (it's a mish-mash of zebra and unicorn) and is only available to those who participate in the scheme. Participants can also get 30 days of free play.

Okay, so Blizzard hasn't (yet) announced an iPhone version of World of Warcraft. But if you do play WoW on PC and own an iPhone, there's a new app you should download.

It's called Warcraft Characters, and it lets you view avatars, basic info, stats and combat data for all your WoW characters - with the information being cached on your iPhone so you can proudly boast about your Level 68 Blood Elf to friends.

Blizzard makes reasonable efforts to make sure World of Warcraft accounts are secure, but in a world of keyloggers, network sniffers, Trojan horses, and plain-old bad passwords, it's not exactly uncommon for a WOW player to have his or her account accessed without permission, then find that everything their in-world character had that was remotely sellable was…gone.

To help combat the problem, Blizzard has announced it plans to offer a Blizzard Authenticator token for World of Warcraft accounts: the token will generate a short-term six-digit security code whenever a user presses a button. The user must then use that code along with their normal account name and password in order to log into the account. The token doesn't replace the security questions Blizzard associates with each account, but helps ensure that only users who physically have the correct token can access an account.

It might seem counterproductive to leave a computer game unattended and allow an automated "bot" to play the game for you, but many World of Warcraft (WoW) enthusiasts have been using an authorized tool known as the Glider to stay connected to the game 24-7.

WoW producer Blizzard Entertainment and Vivendi Games, Inc. sued Glider creator Michael Donnelly and MDY Industries in February for intellectual property violations, but D.C.-based interest group Public Knowledge said Monday that Blizzard has no grounds on which to sue Donnelly for copyright violations.

Lynnwood man makes a living selling 'World of Warcraft' characters

LYNNWOOD — It's 9 a.m. and Korgak the orc is commuting to Stranglethorn Vale for work.

Vince Knight — aka Korgak — is playing an orc rogue character on the "massively multiplayer" online game called "World of Warcraft."

On a good day, Knight can gain five levels — gaining experience and gold — for his online character. Unfortunately, it isn't going to be a good day.

No sooner has he jumped off a blimp into the lush, digital jungle of Stranglethorn than the green-hued Korgak is "ganked" or attacked, by a high-level night elf hunter.

Korgak dies.

"It ain't easy being green," Knight says with a sigh and begins the long journey back to his virtual corpse.

For Knight, it's just another day at the office.

There have been a few adjustments the last few days as we feel our around the site. Like for most of you I am pretty new at this.

There are few things I need to note about how we are using the DKP.

1- DKP has been in effect in U N I T Y since Sunday the 13th of April, that is for the people that do not read in the game mail I spam and are unaware of what is going on *sigh*.

2- We do not give DKP points for attendance or a deduction on items in Karazhan. With the exception of T4 this will be the only items deducted from your points.

3- You will notice that all attendance of the raids (such as Gruul or Mag and up) have a value and you will receive points for attending.

4- However the loot in Gruul and raids up are worth points so watch what you spend them on =)

5- It is up to the individual, to keep check on what they have spent or not in the raids they attend so they are aware of how much they have to spend.

6- We have started all main raiding characters with a 15 point starting bonus, this will be added and reduced over time as you purchase Items. Alt's however have zero starting points, with the option though that if that class is in demand for a raid and you are forced to attend you will have the choice to add the points from that raid to either your main or the Alt that attended the raid.

Please, If you haven't registered at the site already, go and do so.
*I you have registered I hear there is a bug in the activation link from the default email that was sent to you, (even though that seems to be sorted out now) don't despair your membership will have registered anyway.

Once installed Group Calendar replaces the minimap current time tooltip and sun & moon icon. This can be used to open the UI or it can be opened using the /calendar command.

The makers of World of Warcraft are locked in a legal battle with a firm that has produced a tool to automate many actions in the virtual world. Blizzard is suing Michael Donnelly, the creator of the MMO Glider program, which performs key tasks in the game automatically, such as fighting.

We'd like to make the community aware of a recent account-theft scam that is being circulated through email, game forums, in-game chat, and other mediums. This scam involves fake URLs, or hyperlinks, that once clicked will install harmful "keylogging" software intended to steal your World of Warcraft account name and password. After the creators of these keyloggers steal this information, they log into your account, immediately change your password to lock you out, and then sell all of your items and transfer all of your gold.

So we have been experimenting with a add on called Group Calendar. It has actually been around for quite some time but we decided to take a fresh look at it and see if it would be an improvement on what we have already been using.

As it turns out it is a lot more user friendly, it shows reset dates for instances and also cool down periods for your professions for example if you are a tailor and have cool down on shadow cloth it will tell you when this cool down period is over. Best of all is that Group Calendar doesn’t have the bugs that we seem to get occurring in GEM and its constant crashes and updates conflicting with other add ons. It also allows us to set events that are exclusive to the guild, no one from outside the guild can join the event unless specifically invited.

So we have decided to make a change over to Group Calendar starting on 7th April 2008. This add on can be downloaded from www.curse.com. There will be an in game mail send to the entire guild 2 weeks prior as a reminder to download Group Calendar, we will be removing GEM from use by the 14th of April so please ensure that you have updated your add ons before this date or you will naturally be excluded from any events that happen to be listed exceeding the change over. Vivendi's video games branch, once a loss-making business the French media group could not sell, now makes among the biggest margins in the industry thanks to one game — World of Warcraft.
The game has lured more than 10 million gamers — roughly the population of Belgium — since its launch in 2004, and Vivendi Games Chairman Rene Penisson said it had created a new market for the company and the industry as a whole.
"I think there is a very, very big market that is opening up out there," Penisson told Reuters on Friday in an interview on the fringes of Vivendi's annual results presentation.
"It is changing the way people play video games."

Frequent use of stolen credit cards to pay for World of Warcraft subscription has prompted UK bank Halifax to block payments to the game's publisher, Blizzard Entertainment.

In a statement, the bank said its decision to block payments was not a reflection of the integrity of Blizzard or its billing systems.

"We have seen a significant number of fraudulent transactions through Blizzard's gaming sites. We have, therefore, blocked the majority of Visa/Mastercard transactions we receive from there in order to combat this. We do not believe the fraud is anything to do with Blizzard themselves, their sites or the integrity of their billing systems, rather it is site users utilising stolen credit card details to pay for subscriptions," the bank said. "If a customer does want to subscribe to a game site operated by Blizzard, using a Halifax or Bank of Scotland credit card, we can arrange for the payments to be processed for them if they contact us."
