Besides the current Dkp-issue I think we need to discuss a matter that I recentley have noticed in the under-surface discussion in the guild trough various comment from guildies.

At current we don't have any official guild runs for Ulduar 10 man, although we have started Ulduar 25 man and with rather good success. Instead of official runs we have people who on their own initiative creates Ulduar 10-runs and either invitate people for them or make an open invite so anyone can sign up.

Now, what I have noticed under the surface hides some bad feelings about these 10-man runs, in particular those with invites. Some people feel left out, because they have not yet been invited, or because they haven't been invited lately. On the other hand the open invite runs do not always get enough signed up people to take off, altho it is there open for everyone to sign up to.

NONE of these runs are as far as I know official guild runs as the loot cost no dkp, altho they are often run by officers - BUT, are officers never entiteled to play the game as REGULAR members do - as just for fun without having to take responsibility over entertaining the rest of the guild?

If you ask for more effort from officers who already do a lot, have you ever asked your self what YOU have done for your fellow guildies lately?!
Should we not be happy that we have officers willing to put work down on reading up on bossfights, sorting out raid groups and leading our 25 man raids, rather than complain about that they don't do enough?!!!

I am very interested to know why anyone would have bad feelings about these runs happening. As far as I know ANYONE of us can start a group and go to Ulduar 10 - god knows we have enough well geared ppl in the guild. And the open invite ulduar 10 seem to be a regular event as well.

Before you start to complain, maybe you should ask your self: When did YOU sign up for the open Ulduar 10 last time?

What I am trying to say is that it pisses me off monumentally when people tells me how they feel left out and that it is some unfairness that some people are attending Ulduar 10 on a regular basis while some still only have been there on 25.

To my understanding we all PAY for playing this game, officers and regular members all the same. NONE of us get any money for being class leaders, raid leaders, GM or whatever. We play this game for FUN!

In 25 man raids we have fun as the guild as a whole. When we do smaller events like dungeons however we may sometimes want to go with people we are more close friends with than others - because we want a chance to hang out with people we really really like. Should that approach be forbidden if one happen to be an officer?! In that case I think that would have to be included in the sections "the role of a classleader", "the role of a raidleader" etc on this site and informed to anyone who wants to become an officer to help the guild out. I know when I was an officer that I spent most of my game time trying to make everyone else happy until I realised that sometimes I have to give my self the right to play with whoever I wanted to play with, because no matter my officer role I primarily are gaming for fun and fun is also about getting to spend time with ones closest friends!

Instead of complaining and feeling left out, maybe YOU could step forward and apply for becomming a raid leader for OFFICIAL 10 man Ulduar, if you think that this is what the guild need. And if you think that is too much work, try to picture the work load some of the officers are having and celebrate the fact that they ARE devoting so much time and energy so YOU get to have fun instead of asking for MORE! And maybe you should make your best to support the open invite runs.

So end of this rant, because it is a rant as I seldom have been this pissed off by my loverly unity's but hearing these complains has done my head in:

Before you complain, ask your self what YOU have done for the guild lately. Then ask your self:
What gives you the right to ask even more out of active officers?
How can you contribute to the guild?

Thank you Nif, couldn't have put it better myself.

To clarify what Nif is saying: There is no Official ten man Naxx or 10 man Ulduar at the moment. Any one of you can make an event. The only runs that cost DKP is the 25 man runs so they are official. If however you want these runs to be official then Tictok has offered to set up these runs so Please instead of moaning and groaning join these runs.

I am aware that some of you feel left out and we do try our best to make sure you all get a look in…I ASSURE YOU THAT.

It does my head in too, I haven't been able to log on for months and enjoy playing, it has been 6 months since I have been able to just log in and do a run with friends that I would like to game with. There is always things happening and that needs sorting, so I just do not get the chance to deal with them all nor do I have solutions for them all. But it would be nice to see you some of the guildies take some initiative and put some effort in themselves, instead of complaining….This is a game and it is supposed to be fun, we are not a government and it is not RL. I do not want to come on on line and tell you all what to do, you should have some control over what you expect from this game also and not leave up to us completely to entertain you.

We have a bunch of officers that bend over backwards in this guild to try and bring you raids…You may not see or even be aware of the amount of time they put in. They are very concerned with fairness for everyone and making sure that everyone who is ready gets to raid. I am tired of hearing they are not, I am tired of hearing that people get deliberately overlooked, because it just isn't true. Maybe it is time that you all take a good look at what goes into leading these raids, and say thank you to those officers that take out the time of their game (free) time to deliver what you all demand.

I mean, if we don't let officers have non officer time which they can spend in whatever way the like and with whoever they like, shouldn't the same rule be applied to all of us? Eg. none of us could play with the same person more than once in a row, then one had to go play with someone else!(Most of my game time as an officer was a bit of that btw, and in the end friends I really wanted to play with but never had time for had rants at me and we fell out!)

But… why not apply to this philosophy that no one should get to chose who they wanna hang out and play with in a larger context than this guild:

How DARE you have a PARTNER and devote time for him/her? How dare you have KIDS and devote time for them? How dare you have mates you devote time for? (when the old lady next door/man on the street/boss at work - hardly get any visitors at all?)

I think many in this guild do a wonderful job with trying to include as many as possible in social activites, and that it would be even more wonderful if those who don't devote time for such decides to do an effort too. But we also must allow everyone, officers and members, and not least our wonderful GM Itty, to log in and do what THEY find most FUN, which sometimes means hanging out with a handful of people who are them particulary close at heart.

Erm… could you sum that up please… im only 17 and thats too much for my little brain to cope with =)
but anyway, if you do start making ulduar 10 man runs and lacking on leaders to lead them i could give my assistance as i know the tacs quite well and look up boss fights on www.tankspot.com.

niffy , problem not with ulduar or naxx … its about all raids

sometimes guys/gals ask if anyone like to join ( OS , VoA ..etc ) 10 or 25 ……. they will get few answers if not Zero answer

but when (………. ) callin for who wanna join , Gchat spams like rain , me me me me me me

am not signin with others raid ( 10man ulduar or naxx ) cause time is not really good for me and kindda busy and dont wanna leave in middle run ..

i cant lead cause of wha i said b4… but i'll try to join with others and maybe will come day that i'll be leadin :)

Hi guys
This is my second post on the guild website in 4 years time, i felt i had to respond to this one. I realy apriciate the effort the raid leaders put in to organise a raid, its alot of work and a time consumming task.

sometimes guys/gals ask if anyone like to join ( OS , VoA ..etc ) 10 or 25 ……. they will get few answers if not Zero answer

but when (………. ) callin for who wanna join , Gchat spams like rain , me me me me me

I am always willing to help a guildy out, with whatever dungeon raid q etc. i however dont have much time mostly, when i log on during the week i have to eat soon so when someon ask to join i dont reply because of this. and because i dont want to leave during a run. when it is at a later time i dont want to join because im in raid rotation and want to be on time for it. when im not on ratation im willing to go to any raids to help people out, even DM if people needs help.
I must confess that i do tend to see who asks for me to join before i reply, mostly because i know we have a good balanced team then and we can have a quick run.
and then ill be able to do a quick heroic and make the raid on time. if im not on rotation or there isnt a run planned im available and willing to go with anybody to whatever place they want to go.

lately ive been verry busy at work and realy tired and dont feel up for a run i hope this going to improve soon so i can do some heroics again.

want to say more but i have to go to my real life friends and drink some beers.
