A Word from Ymir

First of all I would like to thank all UNITY’s members and friends that participated on the new Guild Master elections. Thanks for your trust and also thanks for your will to vote anyone that you felt could become UNITY’s next leader.

The only reason I offered myself to take this job was simply the urgent need to organize our Guild in a way that will make it more efficient and more fun for all of us. So I will not change UNITY’s current style, we will remain a Guild created so that all member’s can have fun in a safe and relaxed environment. However fun doesn’t mean anarchy and right now my first target is to get UNITY organized and on a plan that will guarantee standard raiding. Also stabilizing the classes we already have and doing our events timely and efficiently is on my top priority list and I hope that soon enough we will benefit with the results from my efforts.

Of course I would not be able to do anything alone so I not only intend to give more authority to our Officers but also more responsibilities too. For example we created a new Officer, the Bank Master and Boboniera was assigned to the task. His job is to organize and control the bank and he has 100% authority on all bank issues. (Even if I need something from the Bank, I ask Boboniera for it and if he is not online I send him a mail describing what I need and why). For further info about the Guild Bank see the FAQs and also some up and coming information.

Tiggius and Lacki are our new PvP Officers, creating a new PvP event on GEM every Thursday (a bit earlier then our raids so our younger members can have some fun with it).
Niflodia is the new Communications Officer of UNITY and she is responsible for all the members problems that are outside of specific Class issues. (Specific Class related questions please speak to your Class Leader in the first instance).

One of the most important changes though is what Niflodia and Cronoz created on our Guild’s site. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page – this is aimed at answering all questions about the in-Guild issues. We intend to make the Guild site a tool for Guild Management so it would be wise to keep an eye on it for updates, upcoming events, news and Guild gossip (Has Stelli really moved to cows now? Is it true Golith intends to make 9 level 70 characters, one of each class? What is Niffy’s favorite sock color? )

Anyway I don’t want to keep this too long; I am a man of actions and not words. The wind of change already started blowing people so get ready for some action!

Ymir

Hi all you lovely people, members of UNITY!

The past month has brought lot of changes both in the game and in the Guild. This was the month when a new dungeon was opened and invaded by some of our brave gamers who were beaten to death by a big bear and a bird from a rotten egg. However, they got back on their feet and made a bear stew topped with bird custard on top as a revenge! (I was there and I can say that I have never met a nastier set of animals then those in Zul'Aman).

This was also the month when we, with sadness in our hearts, had to thank Ittybitty for her time as our lovely and always so devoted Guild Master (GM) as she stepped down. We are so lucky she will still remain as our wonderful in-game friend, but this was also the month when we would welcome Ymir as our new and likewise lovely GM.

Changes can often be seen in different lights. Change can seem as a bit of a struggle that sometimes can hurt. People like the familiar and known that can be interpreted as safe and comfortable and without unpleasant surprises. Change can also cause irritation, since everything can seem unsure and disorganised while the changes are in progress.

As the management and organisation of the Guild are in progress at the moment some might feel that sadness about the loss of what was known, and irritation over all things that are a bit unclear due to these occurrences. But change can also be good, as it forces us to view things differently, which may render new insights and strategies that can lead to good things we wouldn’t have experienced if we didn’t have to face change.

I hope that all of you just do your best to be patient and supportive while new routines related to raiding, the Guild Bank and membership works out, and most of all that you all continues to contribute to that unique UNITY feeling that adds so much fun to the game!

Mage reporting

Hello all, Stelli here with my regular report from the Mage front line.

I have been raiding a great deal recently, in a bugger of a place too! (What’s it called again ? Kazac? - no, karpun ? no…ah yes ! Karazhan!). The damn place allows no sheeping, I repeat NO SHEEPING – can you believe it !!!! This has resulted in an enforced abstinence of wooly pleasure. I have become a somewhat desperate individual often releasing uncontrolled sparkly arcane explosions and the pressure is now building to intolerable levels.

Things are truly getting absurd. For example, I was questing the other day with that rather ‘wugged’ Hunter Ymir and ‘Kippy Whippy’ the Kypster. Anyway, there we were killing everything in sight, scorched blood and gore all over the place, when I had an item drop: [Velcro Gloves of Gripiness], +20 adhesion with a 22% chance of repeat sheepage! OMG!!! I can certainly think of one or two uses for those babies, let me tell you!
BUT……..
I am completely unable to sheep! arrrggghhh………
I think that somebody is truly mocking me.

So here I am, shiny new gloves and not a sodding chance to use them. So what do I do?
I contact Niffy Whiffy (the undead loving Pali) and Lucklas (the Leggy) as both Serda (the Saucy) and Holyjoe (the modest) were busy scraping their mail. We meet in Stormwind and I rush them straight to the nearest hotel room for some much needed woollen fun. “Finally” I think “I will now get some relief”

I ask Lucklas to use his engineering skills to make me one of those exploding sheep thingies but to take out the fuses. Meanwhile, Niffy prepared the camera (I like to keep the memories for future viewing…). I was just removing my gown when the door burst open! It was those damned people from The Shepherds Protectorate…….again! I am hounded constantly and they pry into every crevice, let me tell you! I explain that it is not a real sheep and that it was a very important scientific experiment that was about to take place. Without any evidence they are forced to leave. Sadly by this stage my…erm….my ‘willingness’ is greatly diminished. So I am forced to pack every thing up and go home……for more solo experiments…….

Well that just about sums up my recent activities (mainly solo as you can see).

See u next time.

Stelli, the Velcro master.

**Late Press** Just found a new instance, Zul’armarni emporium or something. Anyway point is, I can sheep in there – YAY !!!! Oh the wooly pleasure, here I come !!!

Some Voting

Since also life and it’s routines can change it would be interesting to get your view upon what days and hours that you are most likely to raid. This vote is only directed towards people who are assigned to Karazhan. (Also those who are Zul’Aman approved).
