Raids

Want to join UNITY on a RAID?

Note!
The Raiding Rota is out of date at the moment. Until we know more about the new members activity level and what dungeons they are geared up for, we will replace raiding rota with an open invite in the Guild Calender. Note: Signing up means that you are interested, not that you automatically will have reserved a slot. The raid leader will have to compose the raid group so that it has a balance of required classes and spec, and with sufficient gear for the particular event. For example you may be invited to dungeons where you meet the gear requirements but not to those you are undergeared for. They will strive to make sure to do fair invites as much as this is possible, while trying to mix experienced raiders with new commers to enhance the chance of success. However, as we have many new members at the moment it may take some time to get back to the smooth team work we have had, so don't let a wipe night tick you off if that would happen. It takes a bit of a struggle to get everyone to learn the tactics and their role for successful raiding.

FIRST TIME RAIDERS This a must read if you are attending a raid for the 1st time, the Instance Grouping Guide has great tips and information on what goes on in a raid team, and your role there in, what things to look out for and what is needed to make it a successful Raid for us all to benefit from.

Raids:

1- If you have just joined the guild, until you are a full member, we will not allow you to roll on Tier items, however you may roll on other loot in raids and instances ofc. On average it takes just 2 months to become a full member and gives us a chance to get to know you and you a chance to meet us.
2- If you have just turned level 80 and wish to start raiding. Contact your Class Leaders and inform him/ her of your interest. He/ she will then advise you on your gear and if you are eligible to join the raids, or if you still have need to improve in certain areas. We need to do this because if you are under geared it has relevance on the rest of the group going in whether or not the group will be successful.

3- If you are already level 80 and know you are eligible to raid, you can sign up to for the raid using the in game Calendar. This however only indicates your interest on going on this raid, does not mean you will attend it. Your attendance to the raid depends on the following;

The rotation of your class
The balance of the group

We encourage people to sign up for the raids as this indicates to us who is interested in going and you will then automatically be set up into a rotation of your class. It will also give us a list of reserves for people that may drop out with/without notice, in which case you may be called upon as a replacement.

4- If you are slotted into a raid by your Class Leader one week, and cannot attend the raid for whatever reason, that does not mean you automatically go the following week. It means that forfeits your turn and will have to wait again until your following turn in the rotation. This is done so as not to cause confusion for the Class Leaders and the other raiders whom turn it may be.

5- Alt characters, are only ever used in a raid if there is a lack of particular class online (Tanks or Healers in general) to balance the group. Main characters have priority over all alts. Unless there is a space open for them after the raid group is formed that no one else can fill. This is why it is so important that you attend and sign in the raid groups with your main character where possible.
